James took up his position as Finance Director at Komfort Partitioning in November 2023. He lives in Stafford, so will be primarily based at our head office in Birmingham, where he manages a finance team of five. However, James plans to be hands-on and very much a regular presence in our Leeds and Crawley offices.

James comes from a strong manufacturing and construction background, running the finance departments for a high profile door manufacturer and an external wall insulation contractor before spending 4.5 years as FD at an employee experience software firm.

This unique combination of manufacturing, construction, contracting and IT means that he understands our business from the get-go and has big plans to upgrade and streamline our financial processes and systems.

James anticipates that the next few years for Komfort will be big growth period and he is determined to make the most of what the latest technology has to offer in terms of automation and efficiencies.

James is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
