Celebrating 15 Years of expertise: Spotlight on Simonš
With 17 years of industry experience, Simon’s journey at Komfort began as a Sales Co-ordinator, laying the foundation for his deep understanding of our business and the industry. This year he celebrates his 15 year anniversary at Komfort!
As part of celebrating this milestone, we asked him a few questions below.
What are the total number of years you have been in the industry?
17 years in the industry and 15 of those in total at Komfort, having started as a Sales Co-ordinator.
What do you enjoy most about working in this industry?
I enjoy collaborating with architects and contractors, witnessing projects evolve from estimation to installation. The variety of projects keeps things engaging, while the problem-solving aspect challenges me to find optimal solutions. Most of all, I take pride in delivering the best glazing solutions within budget, ensuring both quality and efficiency.
What are you excited about most for Komfort’s future?
New product developments at Komfort bring exciting advancements in glazing and partitioning. Innovations like smart glass, enhanced acoustic solutions and more sustainable materials could set new industry standards. Improved modular systems might offer greater flexibility for architects and contractors, making installations more efficient and customisable.
What is the most exciting project you have been involved with?
One of the most exciting projects Iāve been involved with at Komfort was Peterborough University, working alongside CSI. This project was particularly rewarding due to the strong collaboration, the design challenges we overcame and the glazing solutions we successfully delivered. Seeing everything come together from estimation to installation was a great experience, and it was satisfying to contribute to a high-quality outcome.
