Background & Building

Founded by Ramon Fernandez in 1995, Quorn Stone built their business from humble beginnings – importing and fixing handmade terracotta tiles from Spain. Ramon’s talented craftsmanship and pursuit of perfection for quality natural materials resulted in an unrivalled local reputation; building the foundations of a much-loved family business.

Quorn Stone’s passion for natural stone now spans two generations, four showrooms and over 27 years of dedication to sourcing and importing the finest stones from around the world.

The Brief in Brief
The building, located in Loughborough consists of ground and first floor levels both fully refurbished to provide a modern Head Office. Designed to have a relaxed combined residential-commercial ambience. The office space demanded a high-quality partitioning solution, which could be supported by a team with sound technical knowledge.

Working closely with the contractor, 360 Commercial Projects and specifically, Director Adam Collier, for whom Komfort have been working together with on multiple projects spanning over three decades, this requirement was easily achievable.

For this project the specification included; Polar 30 single glazed screens with applied bars and 70mm Sonik hinged and sliding door sets, along with Komfire 75 solid partitions.

Komfire 100 solid partitions. The Komfort ranges where chosen as they are design relevant and aesthetically on trend, the combination of Polar with Kross glaze bars and Sonik doors provided 360 Commercial Projects with a key element in their design to provide the client with the relaxed “Resimercial” feel to their offices that they were looking for.

The end result

This was a project that brilliantly demonstrates a contractor and supplier partnership built on trust, over many years.
