Firescreens Production Manager to join our team in Leeds.

What do we do? Komfort divide spaces by designing and manufacturing internal glazed and solid partitions with integrated door sets.

What does the role entail? To ensure the smooth running of production following design approval thru to installation of firescreen products.To manage the inhouse fabrication process and procurement of fabricated elements from 3rd party supply chain. This will involve procurement and planning of all fire-rated projects flowing thru the department to align with project managers requirements.

Job Specification

Department: Firescreens

Reporting to: Architectural Firescreens Manager

Main Duties

  • Managing production to inhouse manufacture.
  • Procurement of materials required for manufacture and site related requirements.
  • To ensure all H&S requirements are adhered to & implemented within the warehouse/factory.
  • Planning and programming of works to align with the installation requirements of the department.
  • Managing the warehouse & production staff within Unit 1 Leeds
  • Managing the planning, procurement of external hauliers required for site deliveries.
  • Goods inward, booking in all material deliveries and notifying suppliers of any defects/losses etc
  • To ensure products are delivered to an acceptable quality level
  • Manage the production labour to ensure it is used efficiently
  • Capturing and logging NCR’s with sufficient information to investigate

Skills & Required Experience

  • Experienced in production management (Essential)
  • Experience in metal work fabrication (Essential)
  • H&S qualification – (Desirable)
  • Experience with: Microsoft/ Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint (Essential)
  • Use of Autocad (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Firescreen manufacture (Desirable)
  • General contracting awareness and a knowledge of construction site operations (Desirable);
  • Good Health and Safety awareness (Essential)
